About the Book

In this book, you will meet Marie-Claire, a beautiful, young exchange student from Haiti, and discover how she impacted the lives of two American children. Children will learn Haitian words, games, living conditions, and much more. Also, the book explores the impact of Haiti’s 2010 earthquake on Marie Claire. Fifty percent of the proceeds from this book will be donated to Haitian earthquake relief efforts.

About the Author

Jo-Elle Daveler lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with her husband, two children and two cats. Also, she has been a high school English teacher for the past seventeen years. Although she is very busy helping students and taking her children to their many athletic events and practices, she still finds time to enjoy reading for pleasure and helping in her community. She wrote the book to show parents how simple acts of kindness can have big impact on the lives of their children.
