About the Book

The book is generally about life as a Christian but it’s taken from three different aspects. The first being from an unsaved point of view where someone is perhaps considering becoming a Christian but find themselves floating on the periphery, undecided, confused, desperate to make a change in their lives but with so many questions and anxieties clouding their vision. The book addresses these very real anxieties and issues by empathising and putting into sharp perspective the reality and importance of this life changing decision.

The second aspect that the book covers is the new convert, whom have recently given their lives to God, but though they’ve made the commitment to becoming a Christian, they are now unclear as to what their roles should be, how to conduct themselves, which bible or what particular scriptures to read, what the church immediately expects from them and more importantly what God expects from them. These and many more questions are dealt with in as down to earth manner as one just coming into the faith could hope for, with helpful tips and transparent honesty.

The final aspect is from the long term Christian point of view. Here is where the reality of church life becomes very clear. The book brings to light the fact that even seasoned Christians are not infallible and some routines, practises and rituals are not always agreeable with everyone. Brother Wayne Comprehensively deals with many aspects of church life including fasting, praying and tithing, all delivered in a bitesized, digestible format, allowing the reader to deal with each individual issue at their own pace. Each point is backed up with corresponding and helpful scriptures.

The most pleasing aspect of the book overall is its simplicity. It’s written in a way that can be understood by even the most intellectually challenged, but at the same time able to be appreciated by the well-schooled and affluent. Brother Wayne is not afraid to share his experiences, which include humorous examples of when he’s said the wrong thing or behaved inappropriately among church folk, particularly in his early walk with Christ. Above all this book is a reality check, a well written, helpful reference guide and an inspirational tool perfect for someone just discovering God or struggling in their walk with Christ.

About the Author

Wayne Anthony (Blackstock) has had many songs published alongside quite a few poems but this is his virgin attempt at writing a book.

The Artist formerly known as Bubbler Ranx has a colourful history, which has included many years on the sound system circuit as a DJ, with Northwest London’s premier sound system Volcano Express, whom reigned as one of the UK’s finest during the 1980’s.

He first burst onto the scene at a talent competition held in the world famous People’s Club, the premier nightspot of that era. After winning his heat he came second in the final, hosted by the legendary Tony Williams.

He enjoyed years of notoriety as the frontman on sounds such as Shala, Ghetto Sufferer and Dragon before eventually finding his true home as Volcano’s elder statesman. There he became well known as an MC alongside Yootie General, (Also now a Christian).

His form sheet includes stints on the comedy entertainment circuit, via Nubian Spotlight and Miles Crawford’s Cabarave.

During the 90’s, he was once part of a quartet called Four Article Brothers (FAB), which included such brand names as Richie Dan, Superflex and the afore mentioned Yootie General. This quartet later went on to become Subject To Status (after Yootie moved on), before attaining the title Status in the late 1990’s early 2000’s. Together they formed a record label where Bubbler starred as executive producer. Among their achievements is touring as support to Beenieman in the UK.

Probably his most accomplished achievement to date is as one half of the Mysterious Girl number one smash hit, which he performed alongside Peter Andre. During its prime he performed no less than 4 times on Top Of The Pops, and has toured Europe and Asia. He has graced the same bills as the Spice Girls, The Fugees, Westlife and many more household names from around the globe.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He gave his life to God in September 2005 and has held steadfastly to his faith ever since. He’s a member of Beulah Church in Willesden, where he enthusiastically attends services and takes an active role in organising events and activities. Since becoming a Christian, Brother Wayne has developed his singing talent and now regularly sings at services. He has also lent his hand at directing the men’s choir, for which he has written a number of songs. These have been performed by the brotherhood department at larger meetings and have received rave reviews. A gospel album is in the offing but though the songs are already written, the small matter of the production side of things has been put on pause for a short while, to concentrate fully on the book.

He was inspired to write this book after spending nigh on ten years trying to complete a novel, which he unfortunately still hasn’t managed to finish. ‘I’ve Given my Life To God Now What?’ on the other hand, took merely six weeks to complete. With the help of Authorhouse, Wayne Anthony's first stint at having a written work published has got off the ground. Hopefully it will be a successful venture. In his own words.. 'God willing.'
