About the Book

This is a true story of a woman whose eccentric and bohemian existence led her down a path of abuse and exploitation, by not only the men in her life whom she loved and adored, but the bureaucratic system that she trusted and depended on for justice. It’s about the loss of her life with her children, to the creation of a new life with another and her fight to keep it. Was it fate, destiny or karma that caused all of the events that took place, or was it just a series of bad choices that she made in her life? Perhaps it was a combination of everything from her family to the environment she was exposed to at an early age. Her story is told by her cousin, Randy, whose fascination with Alisha’s history has led him to the writing of this provocative biography. Some of the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

About the Author

Randy DeOrio was born in Chicago, but raised in Paterson New Jersey. He was an award winning boxer and a full contact Karate tournament fighter. He is a licensed Boxing trainer in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Has also done executive protection as an armed guard and has worked as an expert witness for many police departments throughout the New York and New Jersey area, supplying discovery evidence to prosecutors for speeding cases. Randy has acted on both stage and in film and has played a court reporter in the Television hit series Law and Order. He has also played an FBI agent in Fight The Panda Syndicate, which has recently been entered into the Sundance Film Festival. He has also worked on location for HBO’s hit series Sopranos This is his debut as an author. He is currently pursuing an acting career.
