Michael took a knee and laid down a single white rose upon her grave. He didn't know what to say or how to excuse himself. Would she ever forgive him, he thought. Was their a point in finding excuses? Again and again his mind twisted to find some answer. He would start a sentence but then pause, believing that those passed would already know what he was about to say, or indeed what he truly wanted to say. Instead he grabbed at his mouth, covering his words and preventing any generation of a reason to excuse his past. Feeling already unworthy, it was a measure that he needed to take in order to stop any further insult. His thoughts were staggered and broken. The feeling of helplessness was soon upon him as he began to cry. Michael didn't like crying in front of his mother, it was a side of him he never liked to show. He felt this would show a sign of weakness that would cause her to worry more about her son. She had always suffered from heart problems and the stress caused, was something Michael always intended to dissipate. This was reason enough to keep his problems to himself. He had to leave.

About the Author
Christian Alexander is a fresh new writer who brings a black style of writing which some have compared to be the 'Frank Miller' of the novel writing genre. A cult style of writing and a very dark sence of humour prevails in his this, his first novel, experimenting not only with the story, but the presentation of the story through how its written. He encourages the reader to ask questions from his writing, which it turn seduces the reader into the world that he creates.
