About the Author
Cliff Spence was born in Calgary, Alberta. He lives in Three Hills with Helga, his wife of thirty years. They have two grown daughters, Hilde and Debra, and one granddaughter, Wendellynnea. Cliff teaches in a multi-grade environment at a Hutterite colony. At a young age, he was often chosen by the teacher to read aloud in class and enjoyed sharing stories with the younger grades. Telling children's stories in church is still one of his greatest pleasures. Over the years, he has also spoken at several Bible camps in B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan, doing puppetry and object lessons. He had a short story, “The Letter" published in two Christian magazines, “Servant" and “The Mennonite Herald". The children's story, “Mine! Mine!” was originally told in a church service at Manor Gospel Church where he attends. After the story, there was silence for a few moments. Then the pastor exclaimed, “I guess I don't have to preach today.”
