Five minutes later I pulled into the mall parking lot and parked. I walked into the mall and felt my butt switching and then I caught a wedge. I knew I should’ve put on those capris’ I thought to myself. I walked into the T-mobile store and browsed at the selection of phones. I saw a pink slide up phone for Dessy and decided it was perfect since her favorite color is pink. I asked the guy for help. Then I activated it, paid, and left cause he was creeping me out. I was about to leave when I had a craving for a chocolate shake. I decided to go to Wendy’s. While I waited in the line I called my dad.
“Hi papi.” I said excited.
"Hey baby. What’s up?” He replied sounding just as excited as I was.
“Nothing at the mall.”
“When aren’t you at the mall?”
“Daddy. I’m buying Dessy a phone. Oh yea that’s another thing I put her on my plan so I need a lil extra this month for the activation fee.”
“Can I get a chocolate frosty please?” I said to the cashier.
“Hello.”
“I’m here baby. I’ll transfer money over to your account that way you’ll have money.”
"Thanks. Guess what daddy!”
“What Nana?”
“Mommy kicked me out today because I came home late.”
“Well you do have a curfew.”
“You’re taking her side again. And think about how that sounds I’m nineteen years old with a curfew?”
“I’m not takin sides Lileanna I’m just saying, all you have to do is follow her rules and you would be ok.”
“Watever, I’m almost grown and if I want to go to a friends house for a lil while then I’m gunna do so.”
“You’re so hard-headed and now you need money for an apartment right?”
“No just half, and then when I get paid I’ll have the rest.”
“Ok baby. Well Keera’s just getting in with bags. Let me go help her. Te amo!”
