About the Author
This is the first published book of Joyce Forster but she has typed, prepared and had printed small books of poems for gifts and sale, she is also a member of the ‘Sutton Writers’ and ‘Parasol Poetry’ group.
Joyce started work in 1940 at the age of 14 with a scientific manufacturing firm, situated locally; she slept in the ‘Anderson’ shelter many a night dodging bombs and rockets. In the 50s she joined the Civil Service in Whitehall, then on her marriage to Len she transferred to the ‘Crown Agents’, in Sutton, which was local and more convenient to her busier lifestyle.
She has given poetry readings and won prizes for her work; her humour and stories in rhyme are both entertaining and inspirational. Joyce said that without Len’s Encouragement and manual help this book would never have been published.
I hope that you enjoy the reading.
