The Forbitten

I’m not sure how long I lay there, trying to fall asleep, before actually accomplishing my goal. When I did, it was like every night before: The dream began. I walked though the massive forest, stumbling on the rocks beneath my feet, the feeling that I was being watched sending a cold chill down my body. I could hear branches and twigs snapping in the deep dark forest. There was a small amount of light from the moon that was set high behind the trees. I could see the cold breath coming out of my mouth, and another chill ran through my body. There was a thin fog that seemed to linger on the forest floor. Instead of the light ice blue eyes, I saw him, coming from the dark forest. It was Ethan, with the beautiful face and the ice blue eyes. I couldn’t speak. Just like before, he spoke. “I’ve be waiting for you,” he said in his angelic voice. I waited for the jolt that would wake me from the nightmare, hoping that the time would never come. Just then his face expression changed, from that glow on his face and his beautiful smile to a hard grimace. His mouth opened, showing his teeth. A growl rumbled, ripped from his chest. My first impression was shock. What happened? Why is Ethan acting this way? Another stepped out from the trees; he had a wicked smiled on his face. Caleb. Another growl ripped from Ethan’s chest. Caleb was staring at me with those deep black eyes, which seemed to smolder in the darkness,“Abby,” he said in his gruff voice, and stepped towards me. Just then,the moon came from behind the trees. Ethan yelled, “Run, Abby!”
