Peanut Brittle

About the Book

Excerpts: All the other peanuts would laugh and make fun of Peanut Brittle. They did not want him to play with them. [...] Peanut Brittle stayed. Then the man said, “Peanut Brittle, you do not have a shell. I will give you one day to find yourself a shell or else I will make peanut butter out of you!” [...] So Peanut Brittle put on the acorn and went back to the factory. Some of the other peanuts were still at the factory. When they saw Peanut Brittle, they burst out laughing and started calling him names.

About the Author

Rosemary King has a BS and an MS degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut. She is a teacher in the New Haven Public School System and resides with her daughter Hilary in New Haven. She has been a member of many civic organizations and enjoys spending her weekends frequenting and photographing her home state of Connecticut.
