The two dogs sat on the porch in bewilderment. The young pup turned to Agate for comfort but the big poodle was so lonely and miserable himself that he had no comfort to give the pup. With a sound that sounded very much like a human sob, Agate raised his muzzle and begin to howl with the pup. They cried for their mistress. They cried over the betrayal of trust. Agate would have to find a way to survive and protect the pup from harm. That is what his mistress had said. That was his job now. Agate didn't know that their fate would lay in the hands of one man they didn't even know but who had sworn never to stop looking for them. Sam would search for them, try to restore their faith and love for mankind and in the process find love himself.

About the Author
Rose Hannon grew up in west Texas and now lives in Arkansas. Her passion has been writing and poodles since she was a little girl. Since she and her husband breed, show and raise standard poodles, it is only logical that she combine her passions and write about a poodle. In this eloquently written novel, she allows her own heart to speak to the reader and grabs the reader's heart.
