About the Book
Throughout this book, a boy and his mother identify various types of trees by their leaves and seeds. This is done through fun images and stories depicted by the two of them. This book is a great introduction to nature and to help children have a starting point in both observation and knowledge of the trees around them. Culminating activities are provided in the back to further enhance learning and discovery of the subject.
About the Author
Jodi, her husband and their three children live on 27 acres of wooded land where many questions and observations about nature are addressed. This book was inspired by her oldest son, Kyle, who has always had a love of trees even from a very young age. As an educator and parent, the author feels so much can be gained through outdoor experiences and the enjoyment of reading. Because of this, she decided to create a book that would be a beginning resource for children, parents and teachers alike.
