I Hope This Finds You Well

Jeremiah Jacobson's freestanding brownstone was the last home in the United States still in the throes of the Vietnam War. If anyone was to enter his house at that time, say an eager internet service provider representative or cookie selling child, he or she would be instantly transported to a Vietnam battleground circa 1966. With the floral patterned walls shaking form Jeremiah's booming commands to imagined military personnel and the cherry wood floors vibrating beneath his heavily marching, boot clad feet it wasn't incredibly hard to believe you were in a life threatening war zone. Maybe it was her grandfather's saddened demeanor when news of a dead relative or close comrade occupied his mind or maybe it was just an extension of his day nurse's, Nancy Perkins, approach to interacting with him. Regardless of the reasons, Andrea and Nancy soon took on the roles of any and all soldiers, nurses, medics and whoever else her maternal grandfather conjured into existence. They never thought a young, newly recruited Jeremiah Jacobson and his deceased family members and friends could change their lives.
