Wherever there are people, there are rules. Rules allow the global economy to exist, rules hold every society together and rules define the actions and beliefs of every household. Without rules, any entity you can think of would be rack with confusion and ciaos. Sometimes these rules, however, are ones that are “Unwritten” but can be key factors in anyone's success or defeat. To play any game without knowing the rules of that game can only invite frustration and failure. High school, college and life are no exception. In order to succeed in those environments and to prepare yourself to adequately compete at the next higher level, one must know the “Unwritten Rules” of these environments. Unwritten rules come from a combination of customs, culture, values and expectations from people at the top.
One great thing about any game is that it allows every player to make choices. These choices can propel that person to success or can hurl them on the road to disappointment and doom. The more you know about the unwritten demands of any environment in which you find yourself, the wiser your choices will be. Using the same logic, the more you know about the requirements of the level to which you want to advance the better you will be able to compete for that next level. For example, knowing the rules of high school allows you to be successful in high school. However, if while in high school you understand the demands of college, you can make choices that will allow you to compete successfully for the limited openings of the school of your choice. The same would apply to college as you prepare for your first career job interview. This book will give you information to maximize your choices at all three levels.

About the Author
Harvey J. Coleman is President and founder of Coleman Management Consultants (CMC), Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Coleman has worked for Xerox and IBM Corporations and for the last thirty-five years consulted with many of the Fortune 100 Corporations, major governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, the military and educational institution in the United States and abroad. He has consulted with Great Britain's House of Lords and taught managers in over twenty-five different countries. He was elected Atlanta, Georgia's first Small Businessman of the Year. Mr. Coleman has written another book entitled “Empowering Yourself…The Organizational Game Revealed” for career people, which has been translated into Chinese.
