About the Author
Leaving University at 22, Shaun didn't want to enter the 'real world' and settle down! Bored with his mundane job and 'routine' lifestyle, he decided to drop everything embark on a six month voyage around Southeast Asia. Although usually fuelled by a cocktail of cheap beer and bucket of local rum, this trip struck him down with the infamous itchy feet syndrome! Many budget trips later, he still finds himself working in dead-end jobs just so he can save up enough money and escape another cold European winter!
Inspired by many friends, work colleagues and complete `randomers' who have similar aspirations but are either too afraid to actually do it, or just don't know where to begin and can't grasp the concept of the whole idea, he decided to put together this book. He wants to show people that travelling isn't difficult and that anyone can do it! He wants to share with as many people as he can the way that he backpacks and treks the globe on a shoestring. Honestly, you don't need much cash, just some curiosity, enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!
