The day began like every other day had for the last several years. My kids, Matthew and Michael, got dressed in the clothes that my wife, Julie lay out for them; while I was getting Mark dressed. Mark was still in diapers, still learning to walk and say words. It was going to be a fun family day at Michael's pre-school. He was in his second and final year at the school, and I served as a board member/volunteer. We were holding a fund raising event at the school where a popular children's singer named T-Bone would perform. The plan was to sell tickets to the show in order to pay for the show itself, and we would sell hot dogs, chips and drinks in order to raise some money for equipment for the school.
I had a few things on my mind as I was the chairman of this event. I was worried about the turnout of the crowd as it was a partly sunny day with mild temperatures. I was afraid with the weather as good as it was people might stay at home or take their kids to the park.

About the Author
Ken Jones grew up in Waterford Connecticut where after high school he intended college in Providence RI. After graduation he built a very successful life insurance brokerage business, where he worked for 25 years. He also had three sons. He enjoyed sports his entire life both coaching and participating. And then came the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. He couldn't wait to play ball with his own kids but because of the MS, he found it difficult to do the things that the other dads did with their kids.
