About the Book

Condiments for Life is a wonderfully unique collection of poetry like no other!  It has a perfect mixture of poetic thoughts, advice, and even some new quotes to share with friends.  This book has a fabulous buffet of humor, thought provoking topics, Christian inspiration, relationship advice, poems on parenting, love, poems for teenagers and adults, and much more! But don’t forget the rule about buffets, no sharing :O).  So please make sure you tell your friends and family where to buy their own book!

We all use condiments to add flavor to the food we eat.  This book was written to add flavor to everyday real life challenges and events using my own unique style of straight-forward poetry.

Just like there are some bitter times, sweet and spicy times, serious and prayerful times, fun times, and “proclaim it” times, you will find a fantastic selection of all of these in this book.  So go ahead!  Find a good seat, dive into this great book, and enjoy yourself over and over, you deserve it!  The contents of this book are compatible with any diet of life too.  You can even order your favorite poem to be made onto your favorite item of choice such as  mugs, hats, calendars, or even car magnets, etc. which make great gifts for any occasion!

About the Author

Cherilynn Tinnin-Bates has always loved reading and writing poetry since her teenage years and entered her first poetry contest in her church at 15 years old. She also enjoys drawing in pencil sketch and saw this as an opportunity to combine both.  If you’re anything like her you love reading poetry too so she set out to write this book in her own unique straight-forward style so that both teenagers and adults can enjoy it as it relates to everyday real life situations that we all at some point find ourselves in whether bad or good.

She was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and is one of seven children.  She relocated to Texas to attend Jarvis Christian College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and a minor in Biology. She was a math teacher of 3rd through 12th graders for seven years, and is now currently working at a wonderful law firm going on eight years there.  She still resides in Texas and is the mother of two beautiful adult children.  She has survived a lot of dangerous and difficult situations as a woman and a parent but has also experienced success as well in spite of the circumstances that have occurred in her life. She is a Christian and believes that she could not have made it without God in her life.  Her many challenging experiences have given her a buffet of fascinating rare topics to write about, and this book allows her the chance to share some of these true, fun, and inspirational events through her poetry.
