About the Book

Artistic, yes that's what cooking is all about, its an art, to some it comes naturally while others need to be specially trained. I'm one of those lucky ones, to me it was second nature,. My mom was my mentor and my instructor, I have gained my inspiration for cooking from her from a very young age, her passion for cooking infused in me a greater passion to experiment with ingredients. She taught me the art of blending, marinating and eventually obtaining that special flavour to each dish.

I would have loved to include more recipes but due to constraint of space I had to limit myself. However, I have tried to include as many of the standard recipes and some special ones that I'm sure you are going to enjoy.

Most of my recipes are pretty simple and to make it easier in your measurements I have used teaspoons, grams or cup measurements.

All the ingredients used are easily available at all Indian stores all over the world.

Most of my recipes serve 4 to 6 people just taking into account that the meal would be shared by a group of people.

All these recipes have been tried and tested with years and years of experience.

I am sure you will enjoy this book and experiment with these recipes.

Happy Cooking

About the Author

The flavours and aromas of Anglo-Indian cooking evoke many, many happy memories of childhood moments spent with my Mum in the kitchen for various events, occasions, for family and friends.

I was born in a small town called Purna in the state of Maharashtra in India. Second in a family of 6, I was the tom-boy of the family. I loved cooking and mum made sure that she gave us enough of hands on experience. At the age of 8 I could cook up a meal for the whole family.

Married at the age of 18 I have three children, two boys and a girl. My eldest son Ryan is married and lives in Australia with his wife Caroline and two children, Rochelle 9 years, and Ashton 6 years.

My second son Royston will be marrying Michelle in Dec'2010 and my daughter Rachel  married Rohit on the 14th of November'2009.

I migrated to Australia in June'2002, I run an Indian grocery and take-away place called Abhiruchi in partnership with my younger brother Joseph. I also work part-time with the Railways.

My book Cooking with Love the Anglo-Indian way is full of many interesting and easy to follow recipes, that will inspire you to get out those pots, pans and ladles and start experimenting.
