WARNING!!!!
Let me start off by saying that this book is not intended for everyone. Some of you will find its contents to be very distasteful, degrading, or maybe a little disrespectful. I will also apologize in advance to anyone that may be displeased by my “so-called” colloquialisms-or slang, if you will, and to all of you I say, “Get over it!” You will come to discover at the end of this chapbook, that is far from my intent, which leads me to my second word of caution- if you cannot or will not commit to reading this book from cover to cover, don’t even waste your time, otherwise it won’t make any sense to you.
I know what you’re thinking, the nerve of me asking anyone in this day and age to finish what they’ve started…that alone can be an issue within itself, but I am hoping that every reader is willing to oblige. Please note that I am in no way, shape, or form coming off as a know-it-all because most of the topics discussed have already been addressed loosely on BET’s Hip Hop –vs- America, performed in stage plays presented by David Talbert and revealed in movies by some of the greats such as Spike Lee, John Singleton and Tyler Perry.
The purpose of SubMISSive is not to tear down, but to build up. You won’t be reading any common stereotypes; unfortunately it is reality for millions of men, women and children all over the world, mainly behind closed-doors inside the homes of the every day “joe-blows” that fit the socioeconomic status and culture that I myself, have been exposed to. I have the responsibility of delivering a message in its oratory shape through painstaking writing.
This book was written for anyone whose slept in their car and had to use their coat as a blanket. The survivors who took bird-baths in the sink at their place of employment before the rest of their co-workers arrived. To any female who’s slept with a man she couldn’t stand, nevertheless felt a sense of peace because she had a safe place to fall asleep. My fellas wearin’ hoodies and spittin bops out to serve knocks with their bundles stuffed in their runner’s twots. To all those who’ve had to hit a fence at the spot where they grind, knowing that the liquor store owner puts up a cool front, but ends up being the same person who dropped a dime and called one-time.
For anyone who constantly justifies the misuse and mistreatment of others, which causes them to fail time and time again or people who occupy their lives and thoughts with any and everything else besides themselves. Especially to those whose financial charity went in vein after some dude ran game in Jesus’ name. And last but not least, those who seek pleasure in some one else’s pain.
SubMISSive was created to help, not hinder these problems. I want to be part of the solution; not the problem, however, these issues can’t be resolved without first acknowledging what the problems are. My goal is to encourage resilience and confidence and to make others aware of the only resource you would need in order to succeed. Hope you enjoy. Let’s begin…..

While living in the Bay Area, you become aware of why some of the Greatest as well as the Shadiest icons of all time come from here. You have the free-spirits and activists parading the streets, Silicon Valley geeks and drug kingpins that refuse to take any losses or shorts, all in one pot. Then there’s the rest of us.
Even with the weather set at 70 degrees and sunny, most folks walk around with a gray cloud over our heads because they’ve been forced to grow up ruthless and street-savvy, with no hope or a way out. Airdnar paints the ugliest picture as she narrates this page-turner, explaining the lives of herself and other women and men growing up in the Bay Area. She is an half ghetto, half suburban female with a troubled past and bright future ahead of her, based on the wisdom she now possesses through life’s experiences.
Lola doesn’t realize that you don’t necessarily have to look good to be beautiful. Natasha, on the other hand, can’t seem to function without a man telling her what to do. She’s a fantastic runner, but the Tenderloins’s is where her track is located. She can bring in hundreds of dollars a day easily, but doesn’t have a dime to show for it.
