About the Book

My book is about my feelings during my stays in hospitals.  Some poems are about my therapists, some are about love and happier times, and some are about life in general, not necessarily from a depressives point of view. Some are about a particular nurse who has now passed away.

Some are about the joys of being alive when one has a good friend.

About the Author

I am a retired Nursing Sister, and have worked mainly with premature babies and sick neonates.  It was a very rewarding job, but very stressful. Consequently I retired early.

I worked mainly in London in many different hospitals, but I was trained in my home town in Yorkshire.

I also like photography, especially of flowers. I love the countryside, and live very close to Derbyshire and the Peak District. I now live alone back in my home town in Yorkshire, with my wonderful dog who I call my soulmate.

I also enjoy travelling to many different places.  I have been to Canada and the USA, and many other smaller countries.
