The Best Me I Can Be is the first children's book written by Akilah McMullan, but there are definitely more to come! This mother of one is dedicated to living life to the fullest, enjoying family, friends and traveling; Most importantly, Akilah's goal is to be a positive example for children, teenagers and women.
Illustrator Larry Bowler has been creating works of art since the age of 4. Inspired by the birth of his niece in 2005, Larry decided it was time to take his work in a different direction. "I now understand the significance of art and the role it plays in developing a child's mind." Larry hopes to continue to influence the creative minds of small children everywhere.
