About the Book

The Fire Child fantasy adventure continues:

In Return of the Fire Child, T.J. grudgingly accepted his destiny as the Fire Child, protector of the Inner World, a civilization located within the core of the Earth. Along with his three teen friends, Scott, Chad and Crash, he returned to the land of his birth to battle the evil that threatened not only his world but also the surface world where he had been raised.  Pursued by a Gorgon and her legion of cats, they quickly learned that the Inner World was a land of myth filled with strange creatures and dangerous beasts such as the boys had never imagined.

Now, in Quest of the Fire Child, T.J. seeks to establish himself as the protector of his world and continues his adventures, facing new dangers from ruthless men and creatures that wish to destroy him.  Once again he must call upon his three friends who, along with the wolf boy, Criton, risk their lives attempting to bring peace to a world in turmoil.

About the Author

John Hartman lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After a financial career in the railroad industry, he returned to his first love, that of writing.  He has published two books of short stories: "The Belfry and Other Short Stories" and "Angel Dark and Other Short Stories".  Between those two anthologies, he published the horror novel: "Fruelic's Lair".

The book, "Return of the Fire Child", was intended to be the first of an on-going fantasy series.  His newest book, "Quest of the Fire Child" is the second of the series and he is soon to begin the third installment: "Fortress of the Fire Child".  He is hoping to produce a website soon so that his readers can explore the Inner World and its mythological connections as well as learning more about the main characters of the books.  The website will be used to introduce new characters and creatures that will be featured in future books.
