Poor Mona, she did not want to live such a worthless life, but Harold and Joey both abandoned her. Pastor John did not treat her any better. Thoughts of abandonment went through her mind like a sharp knife. She knew it was not her fault. Maybe it was a bit her fault about the doctor. He did not have to leave his wife and beautiful home for her. She lay there on a dirty blanket reliving the past. Somehow, she did not seem as tall and pretty as she once was.

The room seemed to fill with warmth she had not felt before in Shawn’s apartment. Her body felt as though a spirit had enveloped her very being. “Shawn, do you feel there is someone in the room with us?”
Shawn was not aware of such a feeling right away, but it was not long before he felt a presence. Sarah leaned over and embraced her dear friend. It was like something or someone was pushing her to him. When the tenderness overtook both of them, they knew it was magic, or something very special was happening.

“Poor Denise,” he muttered under his breath. He began wondering who would do such a dreadful thing to his wife. He wished the nightmare would just go away. He was ready to move on with his life, but could he with this tragedy still hanging over his head.
In a dazed state, he began to drift off, his thoughts racing, he was unsure if he was dreaming or if what he felt was real.
The bed covers lifted and Rose slipped quietly in beside him. She slowly wiggled closer and softly laid her arm around Joey’s naked body. He turned only to realize that Rose was naked as well. For a moment he wondered if it was Rose or Denise. He did not know what was real or what was his imagination. He had been yearning for this moment with Rose. “Please let this be real.” He whispered.

Dolores Allen, the author, was born in Eastern Canada. She had many life altering experiences. She writes about real people. Dolores gives the credit for her talent to a great story teller, her father.
Critics say she has a God given gift that not only entertains, but teaches love, faith, forgiveness and most of all redemption.
Dolores lived most of her adult life in Windsor, Ontario, where she worked as a Real Estate Broker for 26 years. She decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing. Once accepted by the University of Windsor, she began her classes with a passion. She wrote for the Opus paper. After completion she returned to Eastern Canada and began writing short stories for a weekly newspaper. She published many of them in a book of short stories titled, "Spellbinding Stories." After great reviews, she then published a novel, "Broken Promises."
