3 sisters completely different were growing up in an undeveloped Mediterranean city where it was common place for everyone to know each other’s business, the youngest Freda reminded you of the movie star sex bomb who could not enter a room without turning heads, whilst Jenny although sweet enough was more the quiet innocent home body kind of girl, which left Christine the oldest, she had a natural understated beauty and a hard working practical earthy responsible character. The three girls were at the beginning of their life’s journey.

On being spotted at an early teen age, Freda had caught the attention of a man known as having connections who wanted to take her overseas for a glamorous future. The family where horrified at the thought to which they promptly refused his offer, claiming that they were fully aware of what would be expected from Freda and convinced that they were protecting her, they exerted their power over her as a minor to stop her from being able to leave afraid that it would destroy her bringing shame on all the family if she did go. Denied her future, Freda fell into the arms and bed of the first handsome stranger promising an escape, he had promised that he would return for her and they would be able to leave together, she felt that leaving with him would be a rescue and that finally she would be able to begin living the life she was destined to have. But what neither of them realized was that their encounter had left Freda pregnant.

Jenny, had no great expectations on life, she imagined her future to include a home a husband and several children. Her sister Freda often mocked her for being unimaginative, But Jen believed the simpler her dreams the more satisfying her reality would feel. It was a logical way of thinking, although it lacked the excitement Freda craved.

Christine, was promised to a boy called Ben, they had grown up together studying at school and childishly teasing one another as their friendship blossomed into love, looking forward to their life together Christine arrived home one day to find a family conference discussing her future, there was a falling out between the family heads which had concluded in the cancelation of the wedding. On finding out about the break up in plans poor Christine fell to a slump on the floor and would be rushed into another match immediately even though it broke her heart and Ben’s, Costa a quiet youngster from the same neighborhood had always admired Christine from afar even though she had not paid him particular attention and he was eager to fill Ben’s shoes when the opportunity arose, after being introduced by the family to the man she should marry he privately took Christine to one side and whispered to her that he promised he would never hurt or bully her, he continued to express how he wanted a chance to be with her, she could see he was a kind person so she accepted thing’s as they were now being arranged.
