About the Book
Richard is a Civil Engineer and has spent the last twenty six years of his life constructing projects that enhance the lives of the community. He is passionate about the professional being taken seriously and believes that it has an obligation to minimise the disruption and impact that it invariably causes to those affected by construction projects.
He has had a keen interest in production and process management for almost twenty years having been influenced by the Deming and Egan ethos. Richard uses this knowledge to drive improvements and effectiveness wherever opportunities present themselves. He is keen to combine this knowledge with a “value” based approach to make a real difference to his life and those he interfaces with and has embarked upon this journey in his current projects. Richard is a firm believer in the power of coaching and working with people to help them identify and achieve their own goals. Helping others to find their own way is both extremely powerful and fulfilling.
Richard has served as a District Councillor and School Governor and has four children. His interests include most forms of sport, his woodland and reducing our impact upon the planet to sustainable levels.
