I will always remember my last night there as a child still under the loving care of my parents. My mother fixed my bed for me that night the way she always did when I was younger, her hands working in a steady familiar pattern that I can remember from my childhood. Slowly and lovingly my mother began to set up my mosquito net as though she also longed for one more moment as a mother caring for her child, her oldest daughter, and a final way to say good-bye to me.

Journey Beyond the Sea is an autobiographical adventure of a young innocent and at times naive island girl who finds herself in funny, odd and often difficult situations as she journeys to America to be with the husband she hardly knows, finding love, experiencing happiness and tragedy, painfully discovering who she is and the plan God had in store for her all along.
About the Author
Ninfa Tatro Hagan lives in the high desert of Los Angeles county with her family. She is a wife, mother of six, and grandmother of five who puts her heart and soul into raising her children and grandchildren. Her desire is to see all her children and grandchildren serving Jesus and passing on the hope she has found in living for Him in every circumstance.
