About the Book

This interactive book is to prepare beginning learners to recognize objects, letters, letter- sounds, phonics, and sight-words. Each page offers brightly   colored objects that are associated with words and activities.  With constant practicae, children will be able to master the learning skills they need as a foundation for reading. This new comprehensive approach introduces basic skills and a mixture of concepts in reading.  It also provides reinforcements and extra practice for progress. The book will peak children’s curiosity for learning as they grow.

About the Author

The author Adlyn Hylton is a former educator who worked with Pre-schoolers before she entered the NYC public school system. While in the system, she discovered that many of the slow learners did not attend pre-school. During that time, she began to take care of her grand daughter. Adlyn decided to prepare the child for the public school system. They often often read picture books together. After each session, the child would ask many questions. What? When? Why? Where? How? To satisfy her curiosity and answer her questions,  Adlyn  had to explain each picture object and its activity. She then concluded that children's comprehension will improve when an abstract word is associated to a concrete  object. Adlyn wrote this book to lay a foundation for beginning readers.  This book will point early readers in a direction that will help in mastering the skills needed  for reading.
