About the Book

INTERNAL NOISE: Chaos to Christ  is a product of Cheryl Farris’

poetic quest to examine the current turmoil of life through the prism

of spirituality. In so doing, she summons her reader for a moment

of silence in determining:

                                      …Which noise will you hear?

                                      From where does He rule?

                                      In a whisper that both creates

                                      And destroys

                                      The winds of our time

                                      Contain the noise

                                     A still power which brings

                                     Peace and pain

                                     Turns us back to God again

About the Author

Cheryl Farris is a poet and writer from Houston, Texas. Her passion for literature and the arts was cultivated during her studies at Fisk University in Nashville,Tennesse and travels in Europe and the United States. The opportunity to live abroad greatly enhanced her perspective. She is the author of A TEMPLE BORN which received radiant reviews by renowned poet Nikki Giovanni and playwright Thomas Meloncon.  Her  work has also appeared in various anthologies and publications. Farris is married and has two children.
