About the Book

Johanna Milford Haggerity is just ending a trip to Egypt with her husband Harry. While visiting the Valley of the Kings she discovers an odd square piece rock in a rubble pile at a tourist stop outside of Cairo. She buys the rock. Returning to Chicago her and her husband resume their jobs. Harry concentrates on a new Sonic Drill his company has developed. Johanna return to her job as a Professor of Antiquity at the Field Museum. She starts recieving strange messages and phone calls about her rock. The calls eventually lead to a disturbing event and to meeting someone that has a second rock. The meeting ends up with the formation of an odd group of people.  They set out to find a third rock. The three rocks all have strange marking and are the clues to a hidden teasure. The search takes them from Chicago to the high Andes Mountains and back to the flat lands of the midwest United States; along the way they are accosted by someone trying to steal the rocks   

 


About the Author

Born and raised in Chicago the author chose to make this great city the base of his second novel. He stated that he never forgot Lindblom High School with the great teachers and shop instructors. After high school the author worked for the electric power company as an inter company mail carrier. His  mail route covered most of the downtown area so he became familiar with the wonderful museum ans the lake front (Which was Michigan Ave at that time.

During WWII he joined the Air Force and became a 2nd Lt, a pilot and  a B-29 Engineering Instructor.

Married 65 years to the best girl in the world; they have raised three boys and one girl, all successful in their own fields of work. Hit with Polio in 1952 the author was unable to cope with the extreme cold weather and moved the family to the Birmingham  Alabama area and started all over again. Slowly recovering from the Polio effects he spent the next forty years in research manufacturing and designing. After retiring he turned to learning more and recieved a Degree in Industrial Electronics at age 75. To date he has written two books and may try for one more. At age 88 he is planning to stay active in gardening with his Wife Jeanette and enjoying their kids and grandkids.
