What could possibly stir excitement and memories more than attending a county fair? With a few silver coins poked deep into your jean pocket, the world of make-believe was there for the taking. The first challenge was the musical merry-go-round with brightly painted horses. Around and around they whirled and after too many hot dogs, cotton candy and taffy; the tummy had a funny squeamish feeling.
As the years passed, you mounted the more adventuresome rides with all the enthusiasm of an astronaut being launched into space. While hanging upside down on a ride, a few precious coins would fall to the ground. A shriek of laughter filled the air as the happy finder snatched up the money and raced away to try his luck throwing balls or fishing for prizes, even bad luck didn’t dampen the spirit.

About the Author
Linda Larrabee was born and raised in Coles County, Illinois. Her love for horses began at an early age of four, when she first started riding the big work horses.
She dreamed of becoming a veterinarian but became a busy farm wife and cared for the animals that her husband, Bob, and she had on the farm. She raised and trained horses for many years.
She started writing in Grade school and has had articles published in eleven national magazines; stories recorded on tapes for the blind; and onver one hundred articles appeared in various newspapers.
She now resides in
