About the Book

Intertwining Moments is about the close relationship the author had with her parents during her growing up years--the  mid 1920's , 30's and 40's.  Life was slow paced, people lived simplistic lives, they were more naive  and accepting of what was happening around them. Movement was confined to the home area so it was necessary to create our own entertainment. Mother as the central figure in the book plays a large part in seeing that her girls, their friends and neighbors were offered different, interesting types of entertainment to take them out of the doldrums.of the Great Depression years.

The author would like the  reader to look back to those days and identify with the era. For the young reader it is hoped that the story of how enjoyable a person's life can be with little or no income wakens them to a different life style. People depended on friends and family for their entertainment. Costly clothes, things and entertainment were never considered.. We didn't miss them as family was everything.  .

About the Author

The author of Intertwining Moments has written numerous short stories and poems but has taken a different approach to her writing by concentrating on books. Her first book, CHARLES AUGUSTUS--A Boy's Will To Survive was published in 2007. This was an autobiography of her father's early life dating back to the 1890's to the 1900's. It described a tramatic life for an 8 year old.boy after his mother dies of influenza.

He was sent to a home where he experienced emotional and physical abuse by his Great Uncle. He was forced to work 24/7 on the farm as if he was an adult farm laborer.

Intertwinging Moments looks back to earlier days when the world moved at a slow pace. She gives an overview of how people handled the major challenges that faced them.during the Great Depression and WW11.
