"JENAE'S BEDROOM"

The path of life has many trails to venture. Some are journey more often than not. There are those who love with their hearts, while others play hide and seek with that which they seek. Jenae stepped out of the bathroom, with just a large towel wrapped around her pleasingly sinful body with a bottle of baby oil. She now possessed the fragrance of exotic vanilla fi elds. Her exposed skin glistened with tiny droplets of water in dim light of her lamp on the night stand. Jenae sat upon her king size bed that covered by a zebra printed comforter and matching bed ensemble. She unwrapped the towel, as her beauty radiated the bedroom. Yet, there was no one there to admire her blessings, roaches included. She began to massage the oil her nakedness. Th e phone rang interrupting this nightly ritual. Jenae hung the phone up on her night stand, there was no one there. Her caller id did not register any number. Oh well, Jenae thought, must be a wrong number. Jenae stood up and went back into the bathroom, opened her dust powder and gently freshen the rest of her body. She emerged from the bathroom, sat on the bed and began reading her snail mail. Along with the usual bills, there was a letter from one of her many admirers, handwritten and scented lightly in “Cool Water” cologne. Jenae smiled as she slightly sniff ed the letter and eagerly opened it. Th e letter read: “My dear wonderful Jenae, I decided to write you a letter, so you may better understand what my point of view is and how much I do care about you. Although it has only been three months since we have met, my life has slowly changed. My many thoughts of

you cry out loudly to my heart. Th e dreams I use to have no longer are mine alone, for you now are focus of them. Believe me I did not mean to fi nd myself here thinking of you, writing you. But, my princess I remember the fi re of your touch, and the coolness of your breath, your haunting smile, and your glorious deep eyes invading the vastness of my soul. Oh, Jenae how have you entrenched yourself in my being. And yet I am just a simple man wanting the simple joys of life, holding you, kissing your forehead and grasping your hands, savoring every moment with you. I would like to share the things that a man and woman share with you. Yet, I know that you are not totally free of your commitment to your brutal boyfriend. How, I wonder, do you live with the fear and unhappiness, the pain my dear must be great. I hope that this alternative that I off er will be considered. Maybe this is selfi sh of me but I shudder at the thought of you still trying to hold on when you know that there is nothing there to hold. You are always telling me to wait, give you time and yet time is of the essence Jenae. Please don’t let us meet again, like we did the fi rst time we met, you in the emergency room, shattered and bruised, me wanting to take you away. Jenae, if I could and if you permitted I would take your friend away from us, I need you happy and smiling when we are together, and not paranoid of your surroundings. I would not permit anything to happen to you when we are together. So please tell him that you are moving out and away from him. I got connections to get you in an apartment all over this town, please don’t hesitate any longer please.
