About the Book

   Perlina, a wealthy but eccentric widow, and her friend, Elizabeth, a spiritualist, dabble in the realm of the supernatural.  A crystal ball and readings found in the stars encourage Perlina to purchase and reside in a mansion that is said to have a spirit within its walls.  This ghost creates unrest, concern, and general problems until the new owners are able to solve the mystery of the Spencer House. 

About the Author

  Betty L. Clark is a grandmother of three children and mother of four.  Prior to moving to Cherokee Village, AR, she resided in Terre Haute IN, acquiring three college degrees from ISU, and an article in the Indians State University Journal.

  She has authored four other books and has a passion for writing.  Most of her earlier work centered around education and children’s books. Other books include:

     TWO MANY TOYS (for young children) COPING ON A TIGHT BUDGET (for disadvantaged students) JOBS IN REAL ESTATE (for reluctant readers in high school) HANDLING YOUR PARENT’S DIVORCE (suitable for all levels of school), and  MISS CURRICULUM (an elementary school play).  THE SPIRIT WITHIN IS HER FIRST NOVEL.
