About the Author

Amanda Saffiedine is the third eldest of seven; she was always surrounded by younger children.  This fueled her passion to become an elementary teacher.  Amanda graduate from Wayne State University at the age of twenty-one with a major in Social Studies and a minor in Elementary education in the spring and was hired as a full-time teacher come fall.  Amanda taught for three years before she gave up her career to be a stay at home mom.   Amanda’s daughter is the inspiration for her desire to write children’s book.  After reading to her daughter every night Amanda realized that this contributed to her daughters’ early and advanced language skills.  Now Amanda wants to share their love of reading with her very own book collection.
