About the Book

Reaching for heaven is a wonderful story of a precious little girl and a wonderful relationship with her loving father.  Whitney climbs a tree to be closer to God.  Come along with the author as she takes you on an adventure of life and love.  This story was inspired by the real life of Whitney Hammond.  Whitney befriended Kimberly's daughter when she first moved to Maine.  Whitney was a sweet young girl full of life with a bit of mischief in her smile.  While attending her wake her father told of the precious story of how Whitney climbed the fur tree in her back yard.  Whitney was never afraid of anything and as Kimberly listened of the story of her climbing the tree she imagined Whitney talking to God.  She will surely be missed.

About the Author

As Kimberly grew up with 2 sisters and 4 brothers she lived many adventures which found their way into her stories.  Having 4 children of her own, she would write to entertain her children, as well as children she has taught in school.  After being a part of career day in Virginia Beach which she sung songs she had written, as well as read stories to the children, several teachers suggested she get her books published which brings her here today.  Kimberly’s dream has been to entertain children and as God gave her the gifts in which to fulfill her dream, she thanks you for sharing her stories with your children.
