THE SHAMROCK is a bar in East Pttsburgh and the book is about the people who frequent the bar and the things they do to keep fron doing an honest days work.

Dale Reid is a former bar owner in the Pittsburgh area and gives this account of some of the friends and customers he embraced along the way. The characters and schemes are accounts of some of the angles they concocted along the way.
