Foreword
In both the old and new testaments, there are many references to the spring and latter or autumn rains as it applies to the harvesting season. It’s my firm belief that we are now in the season of the “pouring out” of the Spiritual autumn rains.
After receiving a vision in 2007, I was inspired to write this book about the gifts of the Spirit. In this vision I saw the earth, a big blue beautiful globe from the perspective of space. As I looked closely, I saw the continents one by one as the earth rotated. They were all dotted with churches on each of the nations. On the churches were a set of large wide eyes, but they were all closed! Then slowly one by one each set of eyes started to awaken. They began to open as the earth continued its rotation. In these eyes were small kindles of fire. As the globe continued to spin, I once again saw the previous kindles of fire as they cleared the horizon in these awaken eyes. Many had already burst into flames!
It is my sincere belief that a global revival is coming to the world in preparation for the end of harvest season. There are small groups of followers in each of the world’s churches that seek after and cry out for God to release His anointing and Spiritual gifts in each of their nation’s churches. We are on the breakthrough of seeing God ignite the flames of passion in preparation for the harvest season. The latter rains are beginning to fall and the time is now upon us to heal up the body of Christ, to send them into the fields to reap a great harvest. Listen closely for the fall festival trumpets. They may soon begin to sound!
A Deception
In the church body today there is a perspective on the gifts that are considered as truth but is actually a deception of the enemy. This prevalently taught deception is the belief that the gifts of the Spirit ended when the last apostle died and walking in these gifts are not for today!
It’s not my intention to ever criticize other believers, but I do want to address this false perception or mindset about the use of these gifts that God provided. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts to build up the body and bring about unity and fullness in Christ.
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4: 7-13
