Godly Ideas

            This book provides basic information about pursuing Godly ideas. The book has an initial section with chapters that discuss the creative nature of God (chapter 1) and why one should pursue a God-given idea (chapter 2). The next section of the book focuses on perceiving a Godly idea. Chapter 3 discusses questions such as "Do I have a Godly idea?". Chapter 3 also describes different areas and types of ideas one could have.

                The third section of the book discusses the actual process of pursuing an idea. Chapter 4 describes steps for developing ideas. These steps include a discussion of the product development process (conception and design, build and test, protection, production, promotion, and distribution). In addition, this section also has a chapter (chapter 5) that discusses the first things one should do when he or she has an idea. These first steps provide initial protection for the idea and also give a person some guidelines for working with other persons that they may need to assist them.

               The last section of the book, called “Protecting Godly Ideas,” provides an in-depth discussion on the steps involved in protecting ideas. It contains individual chapters that discuss patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret protection. The book also has an appendix listing various types of issues that arise during the product development process. Also included is a list of legal agreements that one may need depending on the type of idea that person wants to develop. Lastly, this book contains a sample non-disclosure (confidentiality) agreement and a sample services agreement to give the reader an idea of the typical terms contained in these agreements.
