About the Author

 

     Arthur D'Souza owned and operated a very successful clinical diagnostic laboratory in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to establishing this state-of-the art automated facility, Dr. D'Souza was a Laboratory Director providing technical consulting, quality control guidelines, routine operational and logistic support to a large Independent Physician Group Laboratory in upstate New York.

    Soon after earning his Ph.D. in 1973, he joined Dr. Gilbert Schiff’s team as a Research Associate at Gamble Research Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Research Associate, he participated in Public Health projects in Infectious and Communicable diseases of viral origin. During his graduate studies he was employed as a Laboratory Technologist in several greater Cincinnati area hospital laboratories.

    Dr. D'Souza is currently retired and resides with his wife, Margaret in Amberly Villege, a suburb of Cincinnati. “I love landscaping, gardening and growing fruits and vegetables. As a family we take long drives to sample different kinds of food, especially German, Italian and Mexican.”
