Kimme meets Squirrelly D

As the parents pulled up to the school to pick up their children, the children peered out of the classroom windows with anticipation. It was Friday, and the children were ready to celebrate the weekend. The three o’clock bell sounded, and Kimme darted out of the school to the car. “Hi, Mama!” said Kimme. “How was your day at school?” asked Mama Squirrel. “Better now!” said Kimme. Kimme liked being at school, but she liked the weekends more. As Mama Squirrel was driving home, Kimme noticed the mail lying in the front seat. All the mail was addressed to Papa Squirrel, except one. This one was addressed to Roxy Squirrel from Jam-A-Lot Records. At that moment, Kimme remembered that Squirrelly D was with Jam-A-Lot Records. “Is this letter very important, Mama?” asked Kimme. “Put the letter down and stop being nosy,” said Mama Squirrel. Kimme had been a big fan of Squirrelly D’s for a long time and could not wait to buy his new CD when it came out. When they arrived home, Kimme rushed in the house and called Roxy at the family music store. “Roxy, you got a letter from Jam-A-Lot Records today, and I want to know if I could open it,” asked Kimme. “No way!” replied Roxy. Roxy knew that Kimme loved Squirrelly D’s music and dreamed of meeting him in person. Roxy told Kimme that Squirrelly D would only be in town one day for a promotional concert tour. Kimme jumped to her feet screaming and shouting with joy.
