About the Author
Mrs. Eyamidé E. Lewis-Coker (M.A.) is a lecturer at Wilshire Computer College and Bassett Unified School District in Southern California. She was also a lecturer at the Milton Margai Teachers’ Training College and the University of Sierra Leone; Institute of Public Administration and Management in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Proverbs, parables and wise sayings serve as analogy that aid to understand the significance of message being communicated.
Mrs. Lewis-Coker has been an expertise in West African proverbs, parables and wise sayings since the age of six. She shares her knowledge during discussions and conversations using ancestral proverbs, parables and wise sayings to point out and convey the truth in an easily understandable way. She utilizes these proverbs, parables and wise sayings pointing out where others have failed and helping others to avoid the same mistakes. She also uses proverbs to describe actions, show results, morals, dilemmas and consequences of choices made by people in their daily lives.
