About the Author

Thomas A. Liuzzo has been published in professional publications such as "The American Surveyor" and "Point of Beginning Magazine" on topics of Land Surveying.  He has also been the principal speaker in numerous seminars on Land Surveying and Higher Education. 

 

The book "One Last Cigarette" is his first effort on helping society.  Having been a former smoker, he offers insight on how he has achieved success.  During his career as a smoker, Thomas consumed 5 packs a day.  With no end in sight, one day he just decided to quit.  Thus beginning a long hard journey in which he is successful to this day.

 

Thomas lives in Northern Arizona with his wife and children and is involved with several volunteer organizations within his community including St. Germaine Catholic Church of Prescott Valley, The Arizona Professional Land Surveyors, The Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation, and the BPOE Elks #330 of Prescott.  He holds a bachelors degree in Geomatics and GIS and also holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management both from Old Dominion University.  He is an adjunct faculty member at Phoenix College and is part of the program advisory committee for the Department of Industrial Technology.  Thomas is Survey Program Manager for Granite Basin Engineering, Inc. of Prescptt, Arizona and is a Principal Owner of Vertical Mapping Resources, Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona and Dana Point, California.
