About the Author

A mother of 2 grown up children, Cheng, was a trained nurse and manager of adult care provisions in the community in the UK before becoming a social worker for children services. She is now the owner and director of a children’s home for young people with emotional and challenging needs. She is the practical example of the virtues of God by the manner in which she understands the needs of the adolescent children to assist them, in a detached manner, to empower them to attain beneficial change in their personal lives. She attains this by the balanced use of love and law at home, work, community and business activities.

Guna was a research associate at Warwick University in England and a lecturer in Singapore. Currently, he is a senior analyst in a London college. The aim of his first book, First Steps Towards Computing, published by Heinemann Publications in 1986 was to enable the adult population to understand and use the newly emerging information technology. The aim of his second book, Generating Free Electricity at Home using Solar Energy, published by Authorhouse Publications in 2008, was to present solutions to current concerns related to global warming, climate changes, environmental pollution and the depletion of the Earth’s fossil fuel energy reserves.

Guna is of Indian origin, born to a Hindu family in Malaysia, a Muslim country where all religions flourish. He was educated in an English school. He is married to Cheng who, also a Malaysian national, is of Chinese origin, born to a Buddhist family and educated in a Christian school. Both have been resident in England since 1974 where they have gained a wide range of academic knowledge, professional experiences and life skills.
