Keva had noticed the strange soldier following Alina at a distance and he watched closely as the soldier entered the landing bay. He’d been tailing Savat for weeks. Watching this devilish predator was more twisted than a Casdic vine and thornier too. Unsure if this was one of Savat’s many viral relations; he hung back for a bit. Now... he grew suspicious of him and tailed closely. Before he could intervene, he saw him pluck Alina from the crowd, dragging her away. Cautiously he advanced pursuing him as he saw Alina struggling. Keva remained hidden until he saw his chance and bolted for the transport, slipping inside and found a place to hide. He listened as two soldiers closed the entrance and hurried down the corridor. Keva moved silently his weapon drawn searching several rooms, when he heard the approaching footsteps, he slid back and remained hidden. He immediately recognized Savat in the center flanked by two Hosuro soldiers. His instincts were correct, certain that Alina was in grave danger. Keva felt the transport depart before he could call for assistance. He knew he’d have to act quickly. Down the corridor he observed Savat enter a room. Alina was shaken trying to protect her belly from the rough handling, she took the force on her hips, as she shifted to protect her unborn. Her head was covered but, she recognized the voice of Savat as a knife slit the bag over her head. Savat gloated over his successful escape and capture of the prized female. Alina looked up catching sight of him; she was shaken and bruised, as she stared in fear at her tormentor. Savat laughed. “Well now, it seems that Khor has hastened to procure a successor.” He said sarcastically. “I have missed an opportunity!” He stated, roughly touching her pregnant belly. Alina slapped at him, pushing his hands away. Savat grabbed her hands gripping them cruelly. “Careful Alina,” He growled, “I may be tempted to let these soldiers add to your burden,” He warned. “You had better temper that pride, if you don’t wish to suffer further pain.” He threatened. Alina backed against the wall as he slowly released his hold on her. Savat’s ego swelled seeing her cower from him. “Leave us!” He ordered. The Hosuro smiled; his inhumane face was repugnant to her, their appearance of folded fleshy orifices, barely resembled anything remotely human, terrifying her as they left, hearing the sound of laughter echo outside in the hall. Savat eyed her coming closer. “A..li..na.” He stressed her name. “I can be most accommodating, if you please Alina struggled to keep him away from her, but he succeeded in removing her undergarment. “You smell of Coimord male!” He screamed, as she bit down on his hand. Swiftly his hand flew hitting her across the face. “I WILL… rid you of this stinking Coimord!“ He screeched, wiping his fingers on the bed. “I’ll make sure we serve him for dinner and make you watch!” He hollered leaving. Keva had noted his exit from the room and made his way to it closing the entrance quietly. He’d heard Savat’s outburst and the sound of his rage at Alina and he was anger

About the Book
Two worlds from great distances are about to collide, unaware of the events taking place here on present day Earth and in a far flung universe called Alareis. A long held legend has manifest itself to live again, when the transmigration of a much loved soul finds home on Earth.
To summon her back would take an act of love and to accomplish this ….one man was called. Not destined to rule but, born to lead, Khor is cast into this role by fate and the wishes of the sky spirits who so treasured this female, they would see to her return. Thus, it was to become more than one legend… it would be Legends of Love.
A love that endured many sacrifices and struggled to overcome the differences and hardships placed on them as the son of The House was now destined to rule Alareis. He would be drawn into a battle to save our world from destruction by the Hosuro.
This errant and warring faction who having now found the single vulnerable place within him, his love for Alina, would prey upon it and devise a scheme to bring down this ruling House.
The strength of its lengthy rule was all that stood between the tribes and chaos. Drawn into this struggle both Earth and Omarkone would go to battle and forever change this planet from its present course.
The long line of Amahon would stand firm. Only the strongest bond of love would rise to place herself between both sides with only her grit to preserve what she felt so strongly and to protect it from being severed at all cost. Only the sky spirits could foresee the future of this legend.
About the Author
When she was 29 years old Diane wrote a book. At 57 years old she finally published it. It has become one of several written in the past 2 years after having an epiphany of sorts and discovering that this older woman still had a passion for writing. This book was an exploration of a universal theme, something that has touched a cord with many of my friends. Having spent many years engaged in the health care field and as a nurse the idea of exploration using the unknown vehicle of sci-fi and teaming this with a spiritual love gave this idea a bit of expansion to work with. This author is known for expansive thinking, and has spent the majority of her life thinking outside the box. She has always worked quietly in the background, carrying on as a wife and mother to three daughters in a small New England town. Her experiences were quite varied due to a very vivid and lively upbringing with a multi-cultural and musically gifted family. The majority of this being engaged in a tight knit community of Portuguese, French Canadian, and Spanish relations. She now resides in Oklahoma, surrounded by three daughters and seven grandchildren who provide her with the same lively and close knit associations and joy.
