About the Book

When Life Calls is the story of a young girl in her early twenties with a dream of becoming a fashion designer. She decides to keep a diary of her experiences and travels in the fashion world. Somehow her life gets turned upside down and she goes to jail for several years for a conviction on drug charges. Five years later, she finds herself back in the fashion world and her dreams become reality. Her story is an inspirational one, proving that nothing is impossible when you have God on your side and have faith in yourself.     

About the Author

      Sharon Harris is a native of Chicago but now resides in Virginia.  Growing up in Chicago she saw a lot to write about.  Her passion for writing developed when she was twelve years old.  What she saw made her decided to write to inspire people to do better for themselves.  Coming from a family of six she had a lot to write about.  Something was always going on.  Sharon has written three other short stories that she hopes to get published real soon.  She has been a food service worker at a major hospital in Virginia for eighteen years but her dream has always been to become a writer.  Sharon’s wish for her books is that people get something out of them that would help them live out their dreams.  Sharon has come along way from Chicago at the age of forty-four. She went to college to major in computers but found herself liking to write so she went to school again and earned a diploma in creative writing.  She has a very strong passion for writing and the hope that everyone read and enjoy her work.
