About the Book

"I do not love him because he is good, but because he is my child" ---Rabindranath Tagore.  It is with this love that parents Leroy and Janette Smith join Special Forces in detecting services and resources that will benefit their twin sons born prematurely, weighing 1 lb, 3 oz and 1 lb, 4 oz, with developmental disabilities.  With a vow to never quit in their endeavors, "We Will Not Quit and We Will Succeed!" reveals true accounts and experiences of challenges faced and milestones achieved by the Smith Family.  The pictures shown are a depiction of their tribulations.

About the Author

Janette Williams-Smith is a social worker for the Veterans Health Administration.  She obtained a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  In 1997, she was blessed with premature twin sons, Caleb and Cameron, born at 24 weeks gestation with developmental disabilities. As a staunch advocate for her sons and with an unwavering commitment to her sons’ development, Mrs. Williams-Smith constantly seeks and attains services and resources that will benefit them. She takes every opportunity to share her knowledge of services and resources for children with developmental disabilities with other parents in similar circumstances, which inspired her to write We Will Not Quit and We Will Succeed. Janette resides in Cabot, Arkansas, with her husband, Leroy, and their twin sons.
