About the Book

The eponymous Barrett inadvertently initiates his own mid-life crisis in a misguided attempt to alter the direction of his life. His efforts to escape his job become even more bizarre and comical as each attempt distances him from reality. Barrett is a light-hearted tale of love, lust and double-dealing.

About the Author

David Murray has variously been a bank clerk, teacher, civil servant, language tutor and perfume salesman. He lives with his wife in Yorkshire and ‘Barrett’ is his first novel.
