About the Book

The panoramic tale of a single dad trying to romance a beatiful professional woman, and going on a roller-coaster ride of emotions, with the tapestry of life in London the backdrop.

Trent Anderson is a single dad living in London with his daughter and son, and keeping down a demanding day job. He falls in love with single and child-free Zara through an internet dating site that he enters by chance. Initially enthusiastic, she is not too keen on him after discovering his home situation, and lets him know she can’t hack living with him. Later, just before she goes into hospital for a major fibroid removal operation, she tells him she is in love with him after all. Then fully recovered, she begins to have doubts again as she sees her biological clock counting down. He seeks solace and advice from friends who buoy him up and show him that life goes on no matter how dark the night was. As he is ready to move on, however, she finally accepts him unconditionally.

About the Author

Adrian Ashe has been writing poetry and short stories since he was a teenager - London Lyrics is his first published work. He brings an intense observation of personal and social feelings to flesh out his characters to make them as real as possible , even questioning the basis of boom economics three years before the credit crunch through the eyes of the main character. A Mensan, he was educated at the University of Wales College of Cardiff where he gained his BSc and PhD degrees, and the University of Warwick where he got his MBA. He has worked in research, and the gas and telecoms industries. His next book, "Heated Race", is a murder mystery set in today's London with knife crime used as a cloak to cover murder.
