About the Book
Lil’ Drop is about to embark on her first adventure. She resides in a Nimbus cloud with an older and wiser raindrop named Big Drop who teaches her about the different types of clouds. Together, ‘Lil’ Drop and the young reader learn fun facts including size, shape, and the manner in which the different clouds are created. After this short and simple weather lesson, Big Drop speaks with feeling about the way the rain falls to the earth. ‘Lil’ Drop in the Clouds is a visual and emotional journey that entertains and educates the young reader.
About the Author
Maree Piplovick, Author and Illustrator finds joy in imagining how she would translate into human words what she might see, hear, and experience as a cloud, a raindrop, snowflake, or other element or being of nature. Maree’s books express these imaginings as the main character and young reader learn about nature together. Maree lives in Portland, Oregon and loves the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with the awesome rivers, mountains, lakes, and ocean.
