“It’s gonna be alright, just keep your head up, everything will be okay." That’s what I told her through the telephone. I could see that she was worried and didn’t know what to expect, but hey she brought it on herself. I told her over and over again to just let it go, and so has everyone else, but Stacey just had to do what she thought would solve the problem. Now she’s in jail for the attempted murder of her ex-boyfriend. Sitting alone in a small, dark, damp room with the only source of sunlight coming from a window the size of a sheet of notebook paper, the only way she can communicate with family and friends is a scheduled interaction through a small screen and a telephone. For what you might ask. Jealousy, trust commitment, love, or all of the above. Well it's complicated, but I'll try to explain.

Have you ever been so deeply in love, that you would stand by your partner even though you knew that they were no good for you? Well Stacey has the same problem. She has caught her man Sean cheating on her, on more than one occasion. But she still can't find the strength to leave him behind. They have been together since their freshman year of high school, and he's the only person she's ever been in love with. She put up with his dishonesty in high school, but now that they are in college he's gotten worse. The lies are more frequent and it seems as if he doesn't care about hurting her anymore. Even though she is always hurting, Stacey is scared that it is too late to start another relationship. Besides who else would put up with her foolishness. So what's a girl to do? Stay and fight for her relationship or give up and try to find a new love?
About the Author
Vincent E. McMillan Jr. is the first born of Vincent and Sandra McMillan. Born and raised in Orlando, FL he is five years older than his only sibling, his sister Takeiya. As a Sophomore at Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, FL Vincent developed a love for poetry, which would eventually turn into a love for story telling. In the Fall of his Sophomore year at the University of Florida, Vincent dedicated most of his free time to creating his first book "It's Complicated". With his first book done Vincent has begun writing and brainstorming for his future works.
