About the Author
Sequoia Alexander is a proud native of Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of Bowie State University and Towson University. She is currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with experience providing case management and therapy to youth and adults, particularly in the inner city. Sequoia’s goal is for this book to begin conversations, with young children, about their future and excite them about wanting to be exposed to college. Sequoia was inspired to write this story by her two younger sisters who, beginning at six and seven years old, would often visit her on campus. Being a first generation college student, Sequoia wanted to expose her sisters to a college atmosphere, so they would be motivated to pursue whatever future goal they created.
